Big upgrade over lead-acid — just plan for the charge-interlock wire

Replaced a set of flooded Trojans in my E-Z-GO with this 48V 100Ah kit. The kit is genuinely complete — battery, 56.8V 18A charger, LCD touchscreen, 48V-to-12V converter and a retention strap — so there was nothing extra to buy. Weight dropped enormously, the cart is noticeably quicker, and the Bluetooth app is actually useful for watching cell voltages and state of charge.

One thing to know before installing: the instructions have you splice the cart's charge-interlock wire (the blue one at the charge port) straight to battery positive. That's what makes the cart run, but it permanently defeats the factory lockout that stops you driving away while plugged in. Mine will now drive off with the cord still attached. It's fixable with an interlock relay or a switched receptacle, but it should be called out in the manual and ideally solved in the kit.

Good hardware and a fair price for a complete conversion.

So far I’m pleased with the battery, did have a small fit problem, but I have an older car so this story area may be different from cars that are newer.I have not had it long enough to really have an opinion, but I think it’s going to be just fine.ask me again in a year.

Five days ago I purchased the Temgo 48V 105AH Lithium Golf Cart Battery to convert my 2019 Yamaha DR2 from lead acid batteries. Temgo was offering an amazing Black Friday deal which included the charger and a new power gauge, and free shipping.
The battery kit arrived today and I am excited to begin the conversion! Also looking forward to the benefits of the weight reduction and a maintenance free battery.

ICON GOLF CART UPGRADE

I purchased the 51.2 volt 100 amp battery for my ICON golf cart conversion to Lithium conversion and am very pleased. The installation was a breeze and the battery is very good quality. I Ike they included a remote power button and gauge for the dash so I don’t have to lift the seat to turn on the battery. The battery charges up quickly and has reduced the weight of the golf cart by about 300 lbs. I have helped install 5 of the TEMGO batteries for friends and family and myself. We are are pleased with the battery. I had to 3d print a dash panel to hold the gauge because of the ICON dash design does not really have room for extra buttons.
