I charged up the battery when I received to full capacity using a smart charge device at 14.6v. On the screen and phone application, I like the fact that the capacity of each of the four cells in the battery is shown. Probably won't be able to test in a colder environment, so I won't be able to speak to it's colder temp performance. Having Bluetooth capability is kind of neat, but I'm not sure why I have to get permission to use the phone app. I'm going to wait a full month to see how far the battery discharges just sitting (I'll check the phone app at 30 days) before considering a recharge. The BMS apparatus appears to track the number of times that the battery is cycled. I'm hoping that it will maintain most of its current so I won't have to recharge until 2-3 months. I am using the battery primarily for a ham radio backup, and other possible uses if I find that a 12v battery is needed in my other projects. So far I'm happy with the purchase. At the 1 month check, I switch my radio equipment from AC to DC load tests to see how long it will power my equipment.
It was time to replace the house battery on my fishing boat and decided to upgrade to lithium. I was shopping around for a battery monitor first because I use this boat for saltwater fishing and needed something reliable and easy to monitor. When I saw this battery comes with a voltage display screen and an app I can use on my iPhone, I decided to try it out. Turns out, this reads the volts, the SOC, time left to complete the charge, and even the details of each cell. The battery is bigger than I thought and took up most of my battery box, but it’s at least half the weight of my old AGM battery. So far, it’s awesome. One of the best upgrades I’ve made and works perfectly as my house battery on my 20ft fishing boat
I wanted to upgrade by toy hauler from AGM Flood Acid battery to Lithium. My Trailer had 3 AGM Marine grade battery’s that were heavy and took forever to charge. Snice switching to this Lithium battery, I can charge it in 2 hours with my lithium battery charger, and it lasts for two days running my water pump, lights, TV, and propane heater. I chose this battery because it has a built-in touch screen which display power availability, voltage, and temperature and will connect to an app on my phone. It has built in temperature control, which is nice, but I have zero plans on camping when it’s that cold outside. All these features are built into the battery so I don’t need to buy a separate battery monitor. Overall, it’s a great battery and I’m already planning on purchasing another one to run in series. 10/10 would recommend!
If you’re looking to replace a heavy lead acid battery and increase your capacity of discharge to 100% vs the 50% this 100ah LiFePo4 is something you may want to investigate. In my application I wanted to replace my marine “house” battery I run all my electronics off. A few of the many reasons I went with the Tembot lithium 100ah battery is the weight saving of 25+ lbs. As most boaters know having 100 lbs of batteries on your boat isn’t ideal so being able to cut out 25lbs is a nice touch. This battery features its own touchscreen monitor that displays all the information one would need to be 100 percent confident in their batteries state while underway. Having that feature takes all the guess work out of the equation. Oh, and by the way I no longer must ask people to move to take my seat off to test my battery’s voltage to get an idea of the state of charge. This battery comes equipped with Bluetooth and a supporting app. So, checking all my battery’s parameters is a simple app away. Everything is working as intended LOVE this battery! Great job guys!
